You may have heard in the news today that our co supporter in the campaign to remove polio from the world, Mr. B Gates, is in the country at the moment to promote the work that the teams are doing to rid the world of this nasty disease.

Rotary worldwide has played a huge part in this, and its significance should not be overlooked. Without the work of Rotarians, both in the field, and in fund raising, we would no be in the position now where polio is almost eradicated. To achieve this much fund raising has been done, training, given and sadly lives lost, to ensure that the vaccination reaches every child in every corner of our world. With much regret we are still struggling to get to the last few, but one day soon it will be achieved.

Read much more about it here

If you feel you can help in any way, please do. You might even think about joining Rotary, to help with this and other projects.
